We operate from 2 classrooms within Holmesdale Infant School.
We like all children to access both rooms to aid a smooth transition when the time is right for them to move on. This gives children the opportunity to be with brothers and sisters engaging in play and sharing experiences.
The Ladybird room offers a free flow learning environment indoors to outdoors. We also grow food to eat in our outdoor space. We offer a dedicated sleeping area for children to rest or nap during the day.
We share the dining room with the school during lunch time; children can have a Derbyshire County Council school dinner or supply a packed lunch. The Butterfly room have singing sessions in the school hall and celebrate events with the school children aiding a smoother transition into school. We go out and about when we can and offer a whole nursery outing in the summer.
We also grow a variety of produce in our garden which the children help tend to, the children get the opportunity to cook the food that’s grown and eat it at snack time.
